It is handmade and hand painted in the bright yellow common to the color schemes of the pottery in that area. This mug never fails to remind me of all the good things I ate in those five charming towns on the coast - fresh seafood, incredible espresso, and gelato of course. It’s a petite mug I bought when I visited the<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neuschwanstein_Castle" target="_blank"><span> Neuschwanstein castle</span></a> in Germany in about 1995. The castle is stunning - most people know it as the inspiration for Disney World’s Sleeping Beauty castle, but the real thing has a majesty that Disney just can’t touch. This mug is just the right size for a <em>little </em>coffee, or a <em>little </em>tea. It’s probably just the amount of coffee those restrained and savvy Germans drink. (I can say that because I’m 50% German.)
